What we shipped, and when

Niyora is built for one profession in one jurisdiction, and it changes every week. This is the record: 23 changes across 10 releases between 18 August 2026 and 9 September 2026.

Dates are the day each change landed, not the day we got round to writing about it. Several entries share a date because they shipped together. Nothing here is back-dated or quietly re-worded later.

A document knows which company it belongs to

Every file filed against a client is now read and checked. One that names a different company is held back from the AI corpus and flagged for you, rather than quietly becoming something Niyora answers from. Documents already on file are checked in the background, so this reaches your existing library too.

Salary and payroll

An effective-dated salary per member, and a monthly run worked out from the attendance and leave already recorded. Niyora builds a payslip each, hands the run to whoever the firm routes payroll to, and that reviewer can correct any figure before approving. Payslips go out on the firm letterhead. A final settlement is worked out on the last payslip rather than as a separate document.

New

A whole timesheet, from a spreadsheet

Download the template, fill it in, check it and confirm. Anyone permitted to log time for the team can enter a month in one pass, and every entered row records who entered it - so an hour somebody typed in never reads as an hour somebody clocked.

Improved

An engagement can be owned by more than one person

Two partners can jointly own a piece of work, and any of them can sign it off. Until now the second owner had to sit among the assignees, where they were excluded from approving the very work they were accountable for.

New

Pause or stop an engagement, with the reason on the record

Work genuinely on hold no longer sits in the same bucket as work nobody has started yet, and stopping an engagement records who stopped it and why instead of silently changing a status.

Share an engagement template with Niyora

A firm that has built a good template can offer it to us; once we have reviewed and published it, it reaches every firm’s picker. Entirely opt-in - nothing is ever suggested or taken automatically - and your own copy keeps working exactly as it did.

New

Recurring engagements

Enrol a client in work that repeats - monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually - and Niyora drafts the next one on time, addressed to whoever owns it. Every draft is identifiably recurring, so it is never mistaken for something a colleague started.

New

Every member keeps their own record

Date of birth, contact details, addresses and an emergency contact, maintained by the member themselves or by whoever handles HR. Identity documents sit behind a firm switch that is off by default.

New

Employee codes

The firm sets its own pattern and Niyora issues the numbers - continuing from whatever numbering you already use rather than starting again at one, and always editable.

New

Offboarding a team member

Suspend someone, or record that they have left and hand over their clients, engagements and reports in one pass. Every device, grant and approved sign-in location is cut at the same time. Their hours, invoices and audit history stay attributed to them, and somebody who returns keeps that history while starting fresh.

Several managers, and rules about who signs off

A person can report to a work manager and an HR manager at once. The firm decides which line each kind of decision follows, and whether one approval settles it or several are needed.

Improved

Due diligence is an engagement you write the steps for

A review is no longer a fixed procedure. Name it, write its steps at the moment you open it, and either work through them by hand or hand the documents to Niyora for per-document checking. It is now tracked work with an assignee, deadlines and a bill.

New

Work that was invoiced somewhere else

Mark a finished engagement as billed outside Niyora and it stops appearing on the chase list - without being recorded as work you chose not to charge for, which is a different thing and was the only option before.

New

Sign-off before an engagement is billed

Optionally, ticking the last step no longer completes an engagement by itself. Its owner marks it complete, and it is held back from the uninvoiced list until that is agreed. Off by default.

New

Allowed hours per engagement

Each engagement type carries an allowance, adjustable on any single engagement. A firm can choose to be warned when a claim outgrows it. It never refuses a timesheet entry - an hour nobody logs is revenue nobody bills.

Discounts, and firms we do not bill

Apply a discount code to your plan and see what you actually pay, with the list price struck through beside it. A firm on a negotiated arrangement sees that instead, with the reason we recorded.

Platform announcements

Maintenance windows, incidents and new features now appear above the app rather than arriving as an email nobody reads. Each states when the thing itself happens, separately from how long the notice is shown, and retires itself when its window closes.

New

A real maintenance page

When Niyora is genuinely down for planned work, every firm now sees a page saying when we are back instead of a browser error. Every window has a stated end and lifts itself, so nothing can be left down by accident.

New

Comp off

Claim a holiday or rest day you worked, have it approved, and take it later. Which days off earn one is the firm’s own rule, and Niyora suggests the days you appear to have worked rather than making you find them.

New

Onboarding a member in one pass

Account, role, reporting line, work location, joining date, leave and rates in a single guided flow - the settings that were previously spread over five screens and routinely skipped. The new joiner then gets a welcome screen of their own.

New

Physical records and custody

Everything the firm holds on paper - minute books, register binders, original certificates, seals, cheque books - with where it is, who has it, when it is due back and who gets chased when it is not. Build the storage structure in one pass, import the inventory from a spreadsheet, and run a stock-take from a phone.

Storage use is measured properly

The storage figure on your billing page counted only files filed against a client, so a firm holding several gigabytes could be shown a few hundred megabytes. It now counts every file Niyora holds for you, and is shown against your plan.

Work from home and on-site, asked in advance

Ask to work somewhere else before the day rather than explaining it every morning. An approval feeds the two things that already existed: you stop being asked where you are at day-start, and you stop being blocked at sign-in if your firm restricts locations.
